From our
President:
Neighbors and Civic
Association Members
Christmas greetings!!
December is a busy month for everyone so we will not have a December meeting.
We also had our November meeting early so as not to conflict with Thanksgiving.
Recently, I was
contacted by the
http//:www.ridesharedelaware.org
Or they can be reached
via a toll free number at:
1-888-RIDE-MATCH
I have some mail in
forms for any who may need them for this program. I also have forms for the
State property tax abatement program for seniors.
The Rideshare folks have
a SchoolPool program for students who do not use bus pickup. Students can find
a ride to and from school. This can be very useful for those students who are
staying over for extra curricular school activities.
This contact is
something we might not be aware of as individual citizens but can know as
members of a civic association. Silver Hill Farms has been around for about 35
years and our civic association for about 8. Much has changed over that time.
Many residents have come and gone. There are many new developments all around
us along with new convinces of stores and restaurants. As we go into a new year
I’m sure we’ll see more.
In a positive vein, I
hope that all we see next year enhances our standard of living.
Along with my fellow
officers and committee people, I wish you and yours the very best of this
Christmas season. My hopes are also for a healthy and prosperous new year for
us all. Come the New Year we will be again meeting at the Corbit Calloway
Memorial Library in
Karl Heinz Schulz
